1919 - Burmese Chamber of Commerce (BCC) was founded during
the British Colonial Period
•
1948-62 - After independence, BCC developed into Union of
Burma Chamber of Commerce & Industry (UBCCI)
•
1962-88 - During the Socialist Regime, UBCCI become defunct
•
1989 - After adoption of market oriented economy, UBCCI war
reconst- ituted in the name of The Union of
Myanmar
Chambers of Commerce & Industry (UMCCI)
•
1999 - UMCCI was upgraded as The Union of Myanmar Federation
of Chambers of Commerce & Industry (UMFCCI) |
