Dr Myo Thet is chairman of Shwe Pyi Aye Co. Ltd and Pacific Woodmark Co Ltd and a representative of PCF Thailand.
He served at UMFCCI as Vice-President from 2013 to 2016, as Secretary General from 2011 to 2013 and Joint Secretary-General from 2009 to 2011. He was Secretary General of the Myanmar Timber Merchants’ Association from 2011 to 20113 and Joint Secretary-General from 2005 to 2011.
From 2007 to 2009 he served as Secretary General at the ASEAN Forest Product Industry Council (AFPIC) and has been a member of the ASEAN Furniture Industries Council (AFIC) since 2005.
He has more than 35 years’ experience in the timber industry and since 1996, has been running a nature-based eco-tourism resort in the Moe Yun Gyi Wildlife Sanctuary and Wetlands Resort.
