Vice President

 

U Wai Phyo should be an inspiration to all young business people. He is the youngest person ever to be appointed a CEC member of UMFCCI and in 2013, he also became the youngest person in the Chamber’s history to be elected as a Vice-President, with particular focus on ASEAN and Young Entrepreneurship. Other positions include founding President of the Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs’ Association, Vice-President of the Myanmar Industries Association and Vice-President of Myanmar Food Processors’ and Exports’ Association.

He serves as one of the three government appointed business sector representatives on the ASEAN Business Advisory Council. He is also a current council member of the East Asia Business Council and has served as an Executive Committee member in the ASEAN Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The company Cho Cho Industry, of which he is Managing Director, won a Presidential Award for Value-Added Export Company in 2015.

He holds Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the American University in Washington and he is currently completing his Global Executive MBA, a dual degree program from the University of California, Los Angeles and the National University of Singapore.
